The University of Miami Center for Communication, Culture & Change and FIT co-hosted the Miami Do Tank: Gaming & Design for Community Resilience. The event brought together people seeking new approaches to increase community engagement in disaster preparedness and climate change mitigation. U of Miami Assistant Professor Lien Tran, FIT volunteer Laura Calo, and FIT’s Tamara Palmer and Desi M-A facilitated the interactive sessions. We introduced attendees to the Design-Thinking process, and played two disaster resilience games – REStrukt and Magnitude (pictured above).
